Steamboat Ski Area Snow Report – From The Air

Aerial Ski report 🙂 from Beauregard: Steamboat Aerials on Vimeo.

Every single day of the winter, I set my alarm early and while simultaneously hitting snooze, I speed-dial the Steamboat Ski Area snow report (970 879-7300) to determine the Steamboat Snow Report. After years of doing this, and watching the weather closely, Steamboat locals learn to read the snow conditions – without even having to set ski on snow. Snowfall, temps, wind, sunshine, cloud-cover combine with yesterday’s, and the conditions of the day before to be the determining factor for whether or now we hit the snooze button again, or whether we bound out of bed to ‘press glass!’

Unfortunately our guests don’t have the luxury of 100 days a year of skiing. And this year, the nation has been inundated with reports about low snowfall totals in Colorado. While we have reported that Steamboat has one of the best bases, you can’t help but be concerned about whether the conditions will be good or not.

This week, Beauregard: Steamboat Aerials posted a fabulous video of the Steamboat Ski Area so you can see for yourself how great the coverage is – and this was shot before our powder day earlier this week – and the continual snow fall for the last few days. You can always check-out the Steamboat webcam too!

Don’t worry if one day the snow is not ideal conditions during your stay, because there are plenty of other things to do in Steamboat!
