Looking for transportation from Denver to Steamboat Springs, CO? Experiencing the special Steamboat Springs atmosphere for yourself is easy, as the town enjoys a wide range of transport connections that will get you to the heart of things fast… and speed you away when (sadly!) you have to leave. There’s also an efficient public bus service that will get you around whilst you’re here.
If you’re heading to Steamboat from Denver International Airport, take I-70 West for approx 78 miles. At the Dillon/Silverthorne Exit #205, proceed North on the CO9 for approx 38 miles. At Kremmling turn left on to US Hwy 40 West and continue for approx 50 miles over Rabbit Ears Pass. Before reaching Steamboat Springs take the Mount Werner exit and turn right at the bottom of the slip road onto Mount Werner Road. Enjoy the spectacular scenery along the way!
If you’re arriving via Hayden/Yampa Valley Regional Airport, leave the airport and turn right at the end of the airport access road onto US Hwy 40 East. Hwy 40 becomes Lincoln Avenue as you travel through Downtown. Take the Mount Werner exit and then turn left at the bottom of the slip road onto Mount Werner Road.
With Yampa Valley Regional Airport – also known as Hayden (HDN) Airport – only 27 miles away, Steamboat Springs is one of the easiest Rocky Mountain resort to reach. There are direct flights, from eight major North American cities and convenient connections from other US airports.

A free fixed route shuttle service around Steamboat allows you to get about quickly and easily. The shuttle runs frequently throughout the day and night between the ski area, downtown, and most of the hotel and condo locations.
