Non-Guided Hiking Opportunities

Fish Creek Falls - The Fish Creek Falls area offers hiking and sightseeing opportunities for people of all fitness levels. There is a network of footpaths that lead to overlooks with breathtaking views of the waterfall, or if you're up for a more strenuous hike, there is a trail that winds 5 miles to the upper falls. It is a spectacular view and a great place to explore. From Main Street, get on 3rd, turn onto Fish Creek Falls Road, and follow it all the way up.

Uranium Mine - Also in the Fish Creek Falls area, this trail switchbacks about 2 miles up to an old mine. Trail entrance is hidden along the sidewalk between the upper and lower parking lots.

Mount Werner - The ski mountain has many different trails for hikers to enjoy. You can either start at the bottom and hike to the summit or ride up the gondola and enjoy a more mellow hike at the top of the mountain.

Devil's Causeway - This hike requires a bit of a drive to get there. It is a strenuous hike through gorgeous meadows, past sparkling lakes, and finally above treeline to a breathtakingly narrow rock bridge.
